Day 1 – Depart home for your flight to Paris.

Day 2 –  Arrive Paris and transfer to the hotel.  After checking in there is time to relax before we take you for a walk around the neighborhood to show you what is where. Our hotel is located in St. Germain, in a typical Parisian neighborhood with cafes, restaurants and pubs, and just a few blocks from the quai along the Seine, the Louvre,  the Musee de Orsay with its fantastic selection of  Impressionists, and Notre Dame.  In the evening dinner is down the street in a small restaurant that’s that’s big on charm and great food. D

Day 3 –  After sleeping in, start the day with a leixurely breakfast in the beautiful atrium breakfast room of the hotel.  Later we go on a foodie walk that will take you a famous chocolatier, a fantastic bakery, a food market and a pastry shop. Afterwards the remainder of the afternoon is on your own.  In the evening  enjoy a casual  dinner in a small pub near the hotel. B D

Day 4 – The day is on your own to visit a museum, or take the day to pursue other interests. In the evening it’s dinner is at Jules Verne atop the Eiffel Tower  where Chef Alain Ducasse, one of the great chefs of Europe, will enchant you a fabulous meal that will be topped of by dessert from their own chocolate factory. B D

Day 5 – This morning visit the Ille de Cite, the island in the Seine on which Notre Dame is located. After visiting Notre Dame, we take a short walk to the tip of the island which is one of the oldest sections of Paril to have lunch in a traditional  Parisian Cafe.  Afterwards the remainder of the day and the evening is on your own. Day 6 – This morning we transfer to the train station to travel to Montreux in Switzerland. In Montreux we are met at the station by a porter who will take us and our luggage across the Street to the Grand Hotel Majestic on the shore of Lake Geneva, where you have great rooms overlooking the lake. Dinner this evening is in a nearby restaurant to enjoy a typical Swiss Christmas dinner.  B D

Day 7 – After breakfast we take a small mountain train to a hillside village for a fondue lunch with a view over lake Geneva.  Later in the day we stroll down the street to the Christmas Market. For dinner this evening snack on all the irresistible foods that are sold at the market.  B

Day 8 – After breakfast we board a train to the the small town of Orsieres at the foot of the Great St. Bernard Pass. Here we are met by our hosts from the resort of  Montagne-Alternative. It is a mountain resort like none you have ever been to.  Montagne is an old Swiss mountain hamlet where former barns and farm houses have been made into stylish resort away from the rest of the world,  The village has no shops and only two restaurants, both which are owned by the resort. Dinner is one of them, a chic thoroughly modern but rustic restaurant. The meal will delight any foodie in the group. B D

Day 9 –  Wake to a mind-boggling view over the Swiss Alps. Have a leisurely breakfast before we are taken down the hill to Orsieres for a sleighride (dependent on snow condition) that ends with snacks and hot wine in a local inn. After returning to the resort there is time to relax and enjoy the solitude and grandeur of  this tiny village, which has not changed in centuries. Few who visit Switzerland will ever see, yet alone stay in a place like this.  In the evening dinner is in a three hundred-year old wine storage cellar with just one table, set before a roaring fire. It’s this dinner which is the reason we have to limit the tour to 10 participants. On the menu is Raclette, cheese melted over the fire, an assortment of condiments, fresh baked rye bread and wine. Day 10 –  Today we bid our hosts goodbye and take the train to Geneva where a charming hotel furnished in the style of a Swiss Chalet will be home for three nights. We’ll have a walk around the neighborhood after getting settled before dinner in the cozy, traditional restaurant of the hotel. B D

Day 11 –  This morning we head to Favare, the oldest chocolate factory in Switzerland and purveyor of fabulous chocolates. Of course a chocolate tasting is on the itinerary. The afternoon  and the remainder of the day is free to go shopping or pursue your own interests. B

Day 12 –  After relaxing over breakfast we head for Geneva’s Christmas Market where you can nibble for of all the fantastic foods sold at the market. After getting you there, we leave you on your own to do all the shopping on this last day of the tour, you have not yet done.  In the evening we get together for a congenial dinner to enjoy each others company for one last day.  B D

Day 13 – Transfer to the airport for your return flight. B

Tour Cost:  $4,980.00 per person in a double room.
Single Cost: $6,150.00

If you would like to book a space, we will send you a reservations form. The deposit is $500.00 per person. The balance is due 60 days before departure.


12 nightsd deluxe hotel accommodation, daily breakfast, 8 dinners, 1 lunch, first class swiss train pass, all transportation, all included sightseeing, and chocolate tastings, and the services of Posh Journeys as your host.

International air fare, airport transfer on arrival and departure (we will work with you on coordinating these) alcoholic drinks, bottled water and soft drinks unless they are part of an included meal, and any item not specifically mentioned in this itinerary.
